The Detroit Regional Partnership is a regional economic development nonprofit serving Southeast Michigan’s 11-county region and we are looking for our next Office Operations Manager to help us organize and build a great organization.

Founded in 2019 by a group of business and philanthropic CEOs, the organization is laser-focused on marketing the region to out-of-state and international companies to attract investments and jobs.  Our next Operations Manager will:

  • Be able to wear many hats and switch gears seamlessly and effectively.
  • Possess a natural focus on people and relationships.
  • Be able to self manage and prioritize and complete tasks as expected.
  • Demonstrate efficiency with all resources including time, effort, and finances.
  • Be a collaborative co-worker, seeking input from others to produce the best outcome.
  • Be mentally quick and proactive.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operations- Support the president on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities and other policy matters.
  • Human Resources- Lead the hiring process and orient new personnel, monitor benefits, compliance and employee performance management.
  • Finance- Coordinate and manage the financial operations of the organization including budgets, payroll and accounting.
  • Corporate Secretary- Support the President with Board relations and prepare all information for Board and Committee meetings.


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of office/operations management experience.
  • Excellent leadership, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and QuickBooks.
  • Strong team building, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
